Prices & Ordering Information

Swiss Horse boots have a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $67.95 per boot ($135.90 per pair), and the optional recommended keeper straps are $2.50 each.  As the boots are only sold through trained fitters, though, your fitter's price may vary (as fitting fees are generally added to the cost of the boot).  Check with the fitter near you for their prices.

To order, contact a fitter from the locator list at www.aanhcp.org

We generally advise booting only the front hooves to start since they support most of the horse and rider's weight.  Horses that are ridden over long distances, or over pavement, or upon gravel roads, or whose hooves are hypersensitive for whatever reason, may also be booted in the hind.

While Swiss Horse Boots come in standard sizes, they can be modified in a variety of ways to create a customized fit for your horse.  Possible modifications may include inserts added at the sides or rear, or toe slots in the front, or heating the boot to relax the material so that it stretches and "molds" to the hoof.  Most boots require modification to achieve the best possible fit.

Boot Sizes

Swiss Boot sizes range from size 00 to size 3, generally fitting hooves ranging from 9.0 cm wide and 9.0 cm long (approximately 3 1/2" width and length) to 14.5 cm wide and 15 cm long (approximately 5 3/4" width and 5 7/8" length).
