Prime Choice Setting Up Counters

Graphical counters:

Easy. Simply add the following to your HTML:

<img src="http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/nph-count2?
width=5&link=http://www.yourdomain.com/yourdirectory/whatever.html">

This is NOT two lines. The line break was intentional for formatting purposes. If you break the line in your HTML code, the counter will not work. This should be one line with no spaces in it. Replace yourdomain.com with your own domain name. This counter will register anyone, yourself included, when you visit the page. To illustrate, make a note of the number above, then reload this page.

Text Counters:

The only problem with the above is that if people don't load images when they load your page your counter doesn't get updated. A text counter avoids this, as it is loaded every time, whether images are on or not.

Add this to your page of HTML:

people have seen this page

In this example, it would appear as:

xxxx people have seen this page

You will have to rename your page whatever.shtml to get this to work. If you are doing this with the "index" file in your directory you will have to delete the index.htm(l) file to get the server to read the new file when you access http://www.yourdomain.com/yourdirectory/.
